DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Residential Facility Class 2 Forensic Training for Lucas County area providers ONLY. This training will give operators\, owners and staff an overview of NOPH state hospital patients. We will discuss civil versus forensic admissions to the hospital\, and treatment and discharge for both populations. We will talk about assessment of risk issues and court involvement as well as additional supports for forensic patients (Forensic Monitoring and ACT Teams). Lastly\, we will discuss finding the right “fit” for the discharge of patients i.e. what the hospital needs to know about your home\, how many residents\, is it co-ed\, supervision level\, etc. Do the patients have an opportunity to visit the home? Both of these documents can also be found on the MHRSB website Resources Page. \nPlease feel free to bring a copy of the survey analysis to the final CPES Subcommittee on December 16th\, if you would like. Although it will not be reviewed in its entirety due to its length\, Travis will be referencing the survey analysis in the recommendations report at the December meeting. Please take the time before this meeting to review the documents in case you have any questions\, as this will be the final subcommittee meeting. \nThanks to all who took the time to come to the CPES Subcommittee over the last several months.
