DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Residential Facility Class 2 Forensic Training for Lucas County area providers ONLY. This training will give operators\, owners and staff an overview of NOPH state hospital patients. We will discuss civil versus forensic admissions to the hospital\, and treatment and discharge for both populations. We will talk about assessment of risk issues and court involvement as well as additional supports for forensic patients (Forensic Monitoring and ACT Teams). Lastly\, we will discuss finding the right “fit” for the discharge of patients i.e. what the hospital needs to know about your home\, how many residents\, is it co-ed\, supervision level\, etc. Do the patients have an opportunity to visit the home? DESCRIPTION:Click HERE to Register!\nPrimeros auxilios para la salud mental 8 horas de capacitación GRATUITA en español \n“Primeros auxilios para la salud mental” es un curso de capacitación interactivo de “equipos de primera respuesta” basado en la evidencia que presenta una visión general de las enfermedades mentales y los trastornos por uso de sustancias.\n\n\n\n\nAprenda cómo reconocer los síntomas de los problemas de salud mental\, cómo proporcionar ayuda inicial y cómo guiar a una persona hacia la asistencia profesional adecuada. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis free eight-hour training will enhance one’s ability to identify and de-escalate a person in crisis.\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMental Health First Aid is an interactive\, evidence-based ‘first responder’ training course that presents an overview of mental illness and substance use disorders. Learn how to recognize the symptoms of mental health problems\, how to provide initial help\, and how to guide a person towards appropriate professional assistance. \nParticipants will learn a 5-step action plan encompassing the skills\, resources\, and knowledge to help an individual in crisis connect with an appropriate professional\, peer\, social or self-help service. Those who successfully complete the 8-hour course will receive a national certification as a Mental Health First Aider. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Help us collect 500 non-perishable items for Zepf Center’s Safety Net! \nMHRSB’s Holiday Giving Drive runs from November 20th\, 2019 through Januray 3rd\, 2020. \nContact Morgan Mitchell at (419)213-4654 with any questions.\nDonations can be dropped off at the MHRSB office as well as a donation station on the first floor of 701 Adams Street. \nDonations can include any non-perishable food items.\nSuggested Donations include:\nCanned Soups/Foods\nBoxed Meals\nChips\nCookies\nPopcorn\nGranola Bars  \nSafety Net is a 24-hour emergency shelter for runaway\,  homeless\, and at-risk youth in Northwest Ohio who are between the ages of 12 to 17. \nSafety Net is designed to increase young people’s safety\, social and emotional well-being\, self-sufficiency\, and help them build permanent connections with families\, communities\, schools\, and other positive social networks. \n  \n
