Presenter Spotlight: Kamesha Spates, PhD.
Dr. Kamesha Spates is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Kent State University. She is also the Founder & Director of the Racial Justice & Health Equity Research and Education Collaborative and recently completed a book entitled What Don’t Kill Us Makes Us Stronger: Black Women on Suicide. Dr. Spates works diligently to unveil stigmas of mental illness and suicide in the black community.
